ASUS VH242H 23.6-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black

I ordered this May 26 and received two days later. Everything was fine and still is! When I opened it I was like wow man this is much bigger than I imagined! I was hesitant about spending money + 500 on a new monitor, I am a photographer so the quality of color images are important to me and to be honest .. What is the difference between this and 24 $ 24,500? I guess what I'm saying is that this monitor has good colors! I do not play or Xbox, but has HDMI to play their games on it too! There is a button on the front you can just hit and easily passes to the next. I was also kind of was "disappointed" that this monitor was so bright (like a PS3 of age), but to be honest ... I have no problem with fingerprints, but once more? How many times you find yourself rubbing your monitor? The support is in the monitor has no screws or anything just take the screen and put it on the bottom and click All is (without oscillation bad)! Some people have posted bad reviews here, but I say .. I can use this monitor for personal work / professional and have no problem whatever, I also play video games on it and games like Crysis 2 shows very well and have blurred vision or anything.

No dead pixel, no risk / shock / dents or casseroles.
Build Quality = 9
People say negative things about the speakers ON BOARD .. It is a monitor and honestly .. as all the speakers .. the more you use and break they start to sound better! Good enough for the regular user.

Very bright. As I said!

Buy this if you want a cheap, but still .. Very good quality / size of the monitor.

ASUS has done a very good product.

if you have any questions about this monitor, or who knows anything about the photos, e-mail me here

Samsung P2570HD 24.6-Inch Full 1080p HDTV LCD Monitor - Black Rose

I am writing from a consumer point of view of using this unit as a TV and a monitor in a small apartment. I am a law student who has the electronics and is very good tech-savvy, but I am by no means a computer or professional look. I wrote I hope to tackle anything you can find, and decided on this unit.

First a note to anyone trying to use as a monitor via HDMI, the TV is set for this connection to be used as 'tv' by default, so everyone is having problems using the HDMI port as a monitor, it is very easy to fix (but lose audio through HDMI, so you have to call from the headset). I have this from a review on Newegg, and it works perfectly.

-Press the Menu button on the remote
-Go to the entry, press the right.
-Go to edit the name, press Enter.
Go to HDMI, press Enter.
Go to DVI-PC, press the Enter key.

I think it's a matter of firmware, but again, easily fixed, and explains many of the reviews here on the very negative picture quality as a monitor via HDMI.

Now for the review. This thing is very aesthetic. The touch of red is subtle enough to be perfect, and really gives a nice touch. The framework itself is quite narrow (TV standards), but I guess you could consider a blind eye to self-monitor. It is glossy black with a touch of bright red inlaid on the outside, with a course much closer to the assembly unit. The speakers are invisible, and if someone saw him at a table, would probably be surprised to hear the sound coming out. Complementing the touch of red are in control units, which are normally invisible, but light up when you touch the panel again in red to match the darker accents on the monitor itself. The base is a pretty decent size and is mostly black, even the touch of red, while the neck of the display is plastic, which means it usually turns the color of anything that might be one behind him .

As for the utility and the movement goes, it seems that there is great confusion: the unity of both rotates and tilts, but with caveats. Most other TVs I've seen, including my parents 32 "samsung 2007 to turn from side to side along the neck, for example, it seems that television, when he turned his back to the center. This configuration unit has a much better base and drive rotation around an internal monitor, smaller, so it seems that the entire monitor is becoming the entire surface. This course is not the case. This works much better than my parents TV and other options I've seen, since the range of movement is very limited, only becoming the neck, otherwise it becomes unstable and it becomes even more untenable for due to its range of movement is very limited. Because this unit, the base itself revolves around a central unit can become a fully invested, if necessary, a trick very clean, while it appears that faced with this particular direction. You will know when he reached the limit of its range, and it will stop spinning. The only problem this may cause, if you are turning off the monitor on a regular basis is that you can not get a break in a cloth that 'catch' at the bottom of the base rotation, and you drag along with the rotation of the monitor. I understand how people get confused, I was trying to light the LCD, like my album By keeping the ownership of the base, and it is not possible, but again, as it spins is much greater.

Now, on the hillside. He bends, but only from a horizontal surface, you can not bend down past where the table would be even below it. Not a problem for me, but it can be for someone to stick on a shelf in your desktop, above your point of view. Furthermore, compared with some other monitors, which has a built in height adjustment. Not a problem if you are using it on a standard desktop (which has a fairly long "neck"), but something to note.

As for the performance p2570hd is incredible for its price. I will discuss how to use it as a monitor. Again most of the negative reviews that involve the quality of the image as a monitor had to do with the topic of HDMI, and admit when you connect an HDMI cable to a computer (either HDMI or DVI-HDMI HDMI) the image looks terrible, it doesn 't scale right, and is very blurry and pixelated. For some reason, you have to do the fix described above. Then, like magic, which means a perfect approach and absolutely beautiful . It looks awesome, the pictures are great, everything feels good, without any adjustments (very bright, however, may turn to a shade or two.) as a monitor but also does an amazing job through VGA. If you're worried about your computer is not capable of handling, the oldest of my parents dell 2007 laptop with only standard graphics (on board Intel), 1080p VGA sent to this unit without failure. My Dell 2006 7600 256 NVIDIA chipset looks the same through DVI-HDMI as my parents --- flawless through VGA. If you have a computer from pre-2004 (just guessing), which may have some problems. In addition, all of my computer is running Windows 7 without having to install drivers from Samsung, so do not worry that the Samsung has a Windows 7 out, and it is not necessary if your PC can run Windows 7, to do well with this monitor. Just a note, the HDMI setting is only necessary if you are using HDMI port for control of the application. VGA DVI-VGA-DVI perfect ... perfect. The speakers are excellent for using the monitor (again using the Monitor, the use of television later in the review), because you're sitting next to him.

As for the color output of the monitor is set, looks great, as long as you, or above the eye. I can not imagine a table on the monitor may be significantly higher than the level of individual views, so you should be fine. That said, if below the eyes, you see the picture a bit dark. The viewing angle is definitely leaning towards either at or above the eyes, making it perfect as a monitor for ... wants to sit in front of her, or if others are around, it would be standing and looking at her, which actually is not bad to do. Horizontal viewing angles are not bad at all equal to or better than my dell 2006 laptop 17 "WSXGA + with wide XGA resolution, or my parents dell 2007 with a WXGA panel model. They are, however, limited compared to our dell desktop ollllld CRT 17 ". But fully functional in terms of monitor.

However, we recommend using this as a long-distance monitor ... no more than 5 feet out, and you squint big if you're trying to read the text / edit documents. You may be able to increase the text size through the windows and make it usable, but to be honest, there is a monitor of this size can work much better from a distance. If you are using it to say, Hulu shoot from distance, which should be fine.

To the extent that the delay of entry or ghosts as a monitor goes, I have none. I've been using Netflix (Terminator 2), DVD player in my computer, and some real PC games, and everything is silky smooth without any lag or ghosting effect seen. I know it's supposedly a big difference between 60Hz and 120Hz panels, this new panel, but I'm not really buying. I've never seen the ghosts of my parents or 60hz 60hz panel from other panels that have been delayed entry or for that matter, I guess the difference is likely techno-hype, or only seen in very particular applications. I imagine some cheaper 60hz panels have some problems with this type of thing, but Samsung is managed well.

Now as the TV itself goes, the HDMI plug and play, and shoots flawless HD (720p through DISH Network) Photo no problem. I guess the door is rated for this use (by default), and that is why some people have problems with the HDMI PC. Monitor also shoots perfect 1080p via component connection through an Xbox 360, a big plus for those without HDMI models, like me. The older model of this panel actually had two HDMI inputs, this is just a ... However, the age group, was an entry in the side and can barely use the RCA output connector, so you move back and lose a HDMI port is fine for me. You should be able to use component video cables to give up two HD sources to television applications anyway. Standard definition is nothing good to brag about really, but nothing to really drag on each, probably a bit below average in the LCD TV set-top, but this monitor also costs more than a hundred children, so I consider it a wash. More than watchable. Through TV applications, again, do not take any entry delay for the game on TV or ghosts, including high-action sequences.
